Some people still haven't seen Star Wars

Look, I’m not the type to really freak out a bunch over spoilers. I would appreciate it if people don’t spoil a movie, of course, but it happens. For example, I’ve seen the SUV. It was on @Midnight. So, consider it spoiled.

BUT, what is angering me a little bit is people that spoil it and say things like, “Dude! If you haven’t seen it by now that’s your problem!” This is basically what they said on @Midnight, a show I like btw.

Ok people, the movie is still in theaters! In fact, some theaters in my area are still selling out. I just bought tickets for Saturday, and there were under 40 seats remaining for a movie that’s still 2 days away. That show will sell out.

Sorry, the point of my rant is just that there are definitely people that DO want to see Star Wars that haven’t seen it yet. End of rant.

Yes.

I’d give it a few months before stopping warning about spoilers.

It’s been out for a month...you get a week, 2 weeks tops.

There’s an SUV driving around with a spoiler (movie spoiler, not car spoiler) scrawled across the back of it in huge white letters. I’m not posting it so as not to spoil the movie for anyone, but the image has been all over the place.

The cinema I wish to see it at is still selling out. Some people are still waiting for Imax theater to stop selling out, too. One person I know is waiting for Monday, since it’s a holiday for him but not for the masses.

I agree with you. It’s easy to get high and mighty when you saw the movie on day one and a few weeks pass. But there’s no good reason for spoiling a plot for someone. It’s an asshole thing to do, and justifying it means you’re justifying being an asshole.

I was also trying to see it with a particular person that lives an hour away from me, and we had to coordinate our schedules around the sell-outs. There was probably an opportunity at some point for us to watch it before now, but tomorrow just works best for us.

I also give consideration to people that can’t afford crazy ass movie prices. There are undoubtedly people out there that are going to rent this for a $1 when it comes out.
